Monitoring - Explore Data
Data exploration and analysis
To explore the Rights for Land data, you can access the Data Explorer or the Index Explorer.
- The Data Explorer allows you to see aggregated results per question.
- The Index Explorer provides aggregated results per indicator and per cluster. For the purpose of aggregation, all questions of one indicator, and all indicators of one cluster, are weighed equally. The maximum positive score for an indicator or cluster is 100, meaning that this particular aspect of land governance is fully compliant with the VGGT and the underpinning human rights obligations of the State.
Once you download the data for your perimeter on the Data Explorer as a csv file, you can use the following Excel template.
You need first to import the csv data into the Excel template. To do so, please follow the next steps on Excel version 2016 and later:
- Go to the Data tab on Excel
- Click on Queries and connections
- On the appearing vertical tab on the right, double click on "Local Surveys Data - Original"
- On the new window, on the right hand vertical tab "Query settings", click on the gear to the right of "Source"
- On the new window, change the file path by browsing to where the downloaded csv from the data explorer is located and select that csv file - this should close the browsing window
- Click on the Close and Load button on the top right hand tab. The Excel file should be ready.
